Last year we decided to scan some 3D Plants and trees trying to aim for a good balance between quality and usability focusing mainly on the 3D ArchViz community. After making our first pack of Scanned 3D Plants we decide to try something more complex like an olive tree and this is the result. 

We scan the trunk using approximately 1500 50MP cross polarized photos and Agisoft Metashape and the leaves using Photometric Stereo on a custom DIY machine. We make the rest of the tree using  GrowFX and we merge both models using ZBrush and Painter to get a realistic connection between the main branches  and the trunk.
